1. One criticism of Gardner's theory is that he classifies talents as a type of intelligences. Critics may say that a talented dancer and chess player is not necessarily smart. How would you reply that critisim?

6. As a prospective teacher, I would like to use NLP in my classrooms as I have the opportunity. I like the main principles of NLP especially, the views on failure and learning. (“There is no such thing as failure, there is only feedback” and “”Anything can be learned if it is chunked properly”). This is because I believe a teacher’s work is to help all her/his students to learn; s/he should understand that the students are different from each other personally and so their needs are different. This point is important because the number of students in classroom affects teacher’s performance while approaching these differences and I am anxious whether I will be able to leave enough time to each of my students.

ReplyDeleteI think that NLP could not applied in current educational condition of Turkey, because first of all, teachers must have knowledge about this things for apply this to classroom environment. But a lot of teachers do not know about NLP, in fact nearly half of the teachers even do not know its name. other than this, using suitable materials are also necessary for using NLP in classrooms but in Turkey it is hard for schools to be find different things for using in education.
ı can say that our staff and awareness about NLP are very little. for this reason, we should educate teachers about NLP and its usage aeas and we should arrenge different kinds of materials for schools.
4. It definitely changed my ideas. Thanks to MI, I realized my intelligence type and I know my weaknesses and I know my strenghts. With this theory, I can enhance the quality of my studies. I know exactly the way that I learn BEST and it's so important because if we don't know the way we can't go anywhere, right?

Thanks to multiple intelligence, I understand that we cannot say this person is intelligent and this person is not.Everybody has a special talent in idfferent things.The important thing is to know yourself, your powers and your weakness and you should accept them and shape your life according to them.

ReplyDelete4) Multiple Intelligence provides people to know themselves better. One should know his/her weaknesses and strenghts, and then he/she behave according to them. As Ayşenur says, everyone has different learning styles. We should find out how we learn and then try to improve our weak parts.
5. I am agree with Özge. I don't think that teachers are sufficient enough to provide students such a knowledge. It can be applied in the future, but now I think it is just utopia. Our education system must be developed firstly, and then it can be possible with the help of improvements of teachers. They should be aware of NLP.
After I have learned about multiple intelligences I tried to find my own strong intelligence and tried to work on it. Multiple intelligences helps people to understand their way of learning. according to their most strong intelligence people can learn more easily and teachers are also use these intelligences in classrooms in order to provide a more effective learning environment.
